For Case Status Monitoring:
Expect a 30-45-day delay between the dates of application or when the petition is filed. In time that the information is available in Case Status Online, it will depend on the volume of applications USCIS receives.
Remember that the 13-character application receipt number found on the application is used for viewing the status of a case.

Form N-565 - Naturalization Certificate Replacement
The N-565 Form is the required USCIS form to apply a replacement of Naturalization Certificate or Citizenship Certificate. The Certificate of Citizenship is the document issued by USCIS that serves as the legal proof of being a U.S. citizenship.
Apllication for a replacement Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate can be requested if the original certificate has been lost, destroyed or stolen. Also, if the certificate's current information is outdated or incorrect (i.e. your name has been legally changed through marriage or divorce).
Terms/ Submission Guidelines for Form N-565
In case the certificate has been destroyed but is still in possession, the applicant must submit the damaged certificate.

News: Majority of Americans Support Citizenship for Undocumented
Based on the latest survey that was released last December 6 by Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, they found out that 57 percent of registered U.S. voters support undocumented immigrants’ right to apply for American citizenship. Similarly, 70 percent of voters reported to the same survey that they felt Deferred Action for "DREAMers," the program that offers a 2-year postponement of deportation to allow young undocumented individuals obtain work permits, is a step in the right direction.

Homeland Security and Responsibilities
Know the three important Immigration agencies under Department Homeland Security and their duties:
1) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
-It handles naturalization, asylum and permanent resident functions.
2) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
The ICE handles deportation, intelligence and investigatory functions.
3) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
The CBP handles border patrol duties.

Why Immigration Reform May Happen This Year
"A long-awaited overhaul of U.S. immigration law has a good chance of happening this year, bringing major changes to the millions of people living here illegally—and perhaps giving the economy a boost.
For the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), who contend that immigrants are a drain on the economy, any reforms must include not only stricter border controls but tougher laws limiting any kind of immigration — with amnesty for no one.
Despite what many consider the best chances in decades for reform, getting it done won’t be easy.
What’s different now on the national level–and why reform is likely to become law in the months ahead — is a shift in the political scene, said Scott Cooper."
